BCCI Execom Conducts Annual Planning Workshop

"Too late in fall for April showers", but not with the members of the Executive Committee of the BCCI. They may have enough experience as they hurdle day-to-day affairs of local chamber operations, but as good managers everything should start with a good plan. That is why, amid the demands typical of a businessman's hurried life, the entire board took a day-off and hied-off to an austere workshop where they crafted and eventually approved this year's Program of Activities for the BCCI. The Workshop was held on April 8, 2005 at the Local Governance Training Center.

Presided by PCCI VP and BCCI Chair Rene Simbulan, the different committees presented their respective plans and programs for the rest of 2005. Rose Manota and Ferdie Capili competently presented the Entrepreneurial Training Program for 2005. Tony Tengco presented his committee's membership development strategies being the new Vice-President for Membership. Ariel Arceo aptly used acronyms to summarize his plans for the creation and strengthening of Local Business Councils in the different municipalities in the province. Cora Ledesma focused her presentation on organizational development activities to enhance secretariat performance. Pedy Kalalang likewise highlighted the need to come up with outlets for Bulacan-made products as a concrete step towards its promotion in the local market.

The Board approved the proposal after minor revisions after a comprehensive evaluation of the committees' presentations.
